In the new VHB design, the Bending beam is slightly inclined to make it easier to position profiles with inward-facing segments. Less collisions and effort will improve the quality of the work. The new ‘C’ Arm of VHB has been redesigned to occupy minimal space while maintaining the same mechanical characteristics as its predecessor. A longer clamp reduces collisions with the material's geometry, which is especially important when working with thicker materials.
It looks strong because it is. The arms are made from thick 25mm plates. The hinges have the same construction, whether for turning thin or thick sheet metal. The machine’s base is constructed from an IPN structural profile and precisely machined for perfect leveling. Together, these features ensure that the Stefa VHB remains a solid, reliable machine for years of heavy-duty use.
The new ‘C’ Arm of VHB allows for a back gauge range from 5mm to 1250mm (49"). Its deep and wide design makes it ideal for industrial gutters. By default, it comes with a tapered back gauge, which in some cases enables a difference of more than 500mm between the two sides.
The retractable trays provide a smart solution for creating space in counter-bend applications. Simply push them forward to access the additional space offered by the VHB's design. Additionally, the back gauge fingers are pneumatic tilted* and can be adjusted along the machine, ensuring a consistent support point for precise and accurate bending. Only available on VHB models
A sturdy Shear is part of Stefa folding technology. Produced from a single piece of steel it ensures durability. The cutting motion is performed on two linear guides, located on the bending beam, close to the area where it makes force when it is cutting. The design allows the shear to handle materials up to 3mm thick steel.
Ease of use means faster, mistake-free operation. The Alligator Software was specifically developed for the folding industry, offering both flexibility and simplicity. Users can draw profiles with a finger, adjust and verify the bending sequence, view color-coded sides, access graphical and numeric cut lists, and take advantage of many other advanced features.
The latest generation of the power pack offers high speed and precise control, thanks to its dual-pump technology. When combined with an inverter, it delivers both power and energy efficiency. Similar to hybrid technology, the machine operates only when movement is required, resulting in up to 80% energy savings compared to older systems.
Precision laser beams detect obstacles in the clamp and shear areas, ensuring operator safety. A dedicated safety PLC supervises the entire safety circuit. The pedals feature a double-contact system, allowing the operator to trigger an emergency stop instantly if needed. Additionally, the machine comes standard with a second operator pedal and an emergency bar along its length for enhanced safety.
